Zaakmuta Sunsinger is a strong and tall elf with a very deep-tanned skin. His eyes are burning of a faint red-orange light that makes staring at him very uneasy. He wears a simple orange shirt with leather pants and carries a backpack on his shoulders. He has long brown hair tied behind his head and many strange tattoos cover his face and body, only enhancing his already scary look.

Zaakmuta is an unusual elf indeed. First, he does not worship an element as a cleric, but rather the paraelement of the sun, which is a quite rare occurance. Second, he is the leader of the Sun Singers, a tribe scattered throughout the southern locations of Athas, where few civilizations thrive. The tribe is divided in three clans: the Lightspeed Clan, which roams south of the Hinterlands, the Goldensong Clan, which is running south of the Tablelands, and the Mooncast Clan, who wanders next to the Sea of Silt coast. Each clan obey to the command of Zaakmuta, who runs from clan to clan across Athas to see if everything is under control, prefering to keep his loneliness to better succeed in his mental pursuits. In fact, he is almost always seen alone, playing the flute and singing in the morning, then running all day under the unbearable sun, and finally quietly studying and writing in a remote settlement at night. He is certainly not the typical leader, and the members of his tribe follow his orders by awe and respect for him more than by anything else, because Zaakmuta has no real leadership or magnetism. His people just truly fear him.

Nobody really knows about Zaakmuta's past. Some say he may have renounced the Silver Hands tribe as a youth, prefering to run free under the sun, but everybody will deny it. The only thing known for sure is that the Sun Singers tribe initially consisted of 6 members, Zaakmuta and five other wandering elves, and that they rapidly gathered people together, the tribe being made up today of about 200 members. Currently, Zaakmuta spends a lot of time in spell research. His pact with the king of Celik, the Patriarch Korsun of Mareneth, has allowed him to get access to important knowledge about the sun and priestly magic research. He has also ordered the Lightspeed and Mooncast Clans to search for lost treasures in ruins across the southern region, confirming his current endeavours.
